General Job Description of a Computer programmer
Computer programmers get to test, create, write, and maintain software programs for the computer. The programs are detailed codes using a variety of computer languages, such as C# or C++. The programs allow computer to perform specific tasks or functions, such as web surfing, typing, gaming, and etcetera. All these actions require different codes and software.
There are two different groups of computer programmers: System programmers, and application programmers. For application programmers, they get to create and write the software that will allow the computer to perform different tasks. As for the system programmer, they get to ensure that different equipment and applications function together in harmony, and will also look at an entire computer system, such as the operating system on someone’s computer, and how well it works with the computer hardware.
